Internal Quality Assurance Cell

In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institute will establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of the system of an institution and work towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC will make a significant and meaningful contribution in the post-accreditation phase of institutions. During the post-accreditation period, the IQAC will channelize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence. The IQAC of our college was established on 25/01/2005.

Visit of the students of Bokel High School.

Twenty students of Bokel High School attended lecture cum demonstrations in DHSK College.Associate Professors , Ms Sudakshina Das Bordoloi and Mr Tikendrajit Gogoi, Department of Zoology delivered lectures on cell and cell divisions and environment protection respectively. Next the students visited Anthropology department. Faculty members explained various topics of Anthropology and showed Anthropology museum. Lastly Mr. Mridul Sarma played a movie \\\"The Butterfly Circus\\\" by Josua Wegel.

A one day workshop on Choice Based Credit System in undergraduate level was organised by the IQAC, DHSK College in collaboration with ACTA unit, DHSK College. Dr. Rupam Saikia, Director of College Development Council, Dibrugarh University and Dr. Binud Chandra Borah, Deputy Registrar(Academic), Dibrugarh University explained the road map of Choice Based Credit System in undergraduate level. They also highlighted the importance of the system in present academic scenario. Sixty Four No. of participants attended the workshop.

For SMS service and OTP, a new prepaid mobile phone connection be taken immediately. 4. A new email ID for the ICT, DHSK College, be opened and the password be kept in the custody of IQAC. 5. The old website(www.dhsk.ac.in) be linked with the new (www.dhsk.org) and students/ teachers Log in, SMS Service be continued with the old one except others. 6. All departmental computers be overhauled and connected with the LAN facility. 7. Four digital class rooms and a digital library be established with top priority.

12th November, 2015: Under social responsibility programme our esteemed institution the DHSK College, Dibrugarh, has adopted Bokel High School, Lahoal, Dibrugarh. Dr. P. D. Goswami, Coordinator, IQAC, Mr. Mridul Sarma, Asst. Coordinator, IQAC, Dr. A. Ahmed, Vice Principal, Mr. N. Mahela, Dr. Deba Prasad Phukan and Mr. Aditya Dahal visited the school and took classes on diverse areas of Humanities, Language and Science in class X.

Yoga Camp

IQAC, DHSK College organised a day long Yoga Camp especially for girls on 30th October, 2015 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti in collaboration with Swami Shivananda Yogijyoti Sewa Kendra, Dibrugarh. Hundred and sixty Girl students participated in the camp. Mr. Utpal Baruah, Member of the Swami Shivananda Yogijyoti Sewa Kendra and an alumnus of the college along with Mr. Montu Sonowal and Ms. Rekha Sarmah Baruah demonstrated various aspects of Yoga to the students. Dr. Priya Dev Goswami coordinated the programme.

Interaction programme with eminent Assamese writer

On 26th September, 2015, an interaction programme with eminent Assamese writer,Dr.Dhrubajyoti Bora, President of Asam Sahitya Sabha, was organised by the IQAC, DHSK College at the Sankardeva Sabhakakshya. About two hundred students of the College interacted regarding Assamese Literature, Society and Culture with Dr. Bora. General Secretary of Asam Sahitya Sabha, Dr. Paramananda Rajbonshi and Dibrugarh District Secretary of Asam Sahitya Sabha Mr. Ajay Singha took part in the programme. Mr. Mridul Sarma, Asst. Coordinator, IQAC, DHSK College coordinated the programme and Dr. S. K. Saikia, Principal, DHSK College welcomed the guests.
