Dibrugarh Hanumanbax Surajmall Kanoi College (Autonomous) was established on 15th June, 1945. It is reaccredited by NAAC (3rd cycle) with Grade 'A' in 2023. The college participates in the All India Survey of Higher Education (AISHE), the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA). The Principal, Dr. Sashi Kanta Saikia, is the former State's Brand Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Under NEP 2020, the college has adopted a model towards quality and skills-based education emphasising holistic development.
To provide higher education to students of all sections of society. The college executes teaching plans to inculcate value education, maintains a gender-friendly ambience, and aims to generate internal resources for sustainable development.
The college has a Board of International Academic Advisors from North Dakota State University (USA), Russian Academy of Science, Mahidol University (Thailand), Sydney University (Australia), UK, and Gauhati University (India).
The college has active MoUs with Assam Down Town University, Dibrugarh Municipality Corporation, Royal Global University Guwahati, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya, Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University, Dibrugarh, and 15+ other institutions.

A 4-year, 8-semester professional programme under Dibrugarh University — completely self-financing. From 2026, the course runs under FYUGP mode, offering BCA (Honours) and BCA (Honours with Research). The department is equipped with AC classrooms, projectors, and a computer lab with 20 high-configuration (i5) computers. Guest lectures and hands-on training programmes are organised every year. Graduates may be absorbed in the IT sector or may be self-employed.

A brand-new 4-year dual-degree programme starting from academic session 2026-27. Combines a Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.Sc.) with a Teacher Education degree (B.Ed.) in an integrated format. Prepares teachers for Fundamental, Preparatory, Middle, and Secondary stages under NEP 2020's 5+3+3+4 structure. DHSK offers ITEP for the Secondary Stage only.
Eligibility: Class 12 with at least 60% marks + National Common Entrance Test (NCET) conducted by NTA. Admission via Assam SAMARTH Portal.
Fee: ₹45,000 per semester (1st semester, BA & BSc under ITEP).

Submit your application form online via the e-Samarth portal. For multiple Major/Minor subjects, use the option for choosing the next Major during application.
Both the applicant and parent/guardian must fill out the online undertaking at antiragging.in/affidavit_affiliated_form.php and submit proof at the time of admission.

Pay the admission fee online as per Govt. of Assam notification / college directive. Fee payment is mandatory to confirm selection. Failure to pay will cancel the selection.

Candidates with a gap period must submit a court affidavit. Candidates who passed the qualifying exam before 2024 will be admitted as per Dibrugarh University/College notification.

FYUGP students must wear the prescribed college uniform. Boys: White shirt, Navy Blue trousers & blazer. Girls: White Mekhela/Salwar Kameez, Navy Blue blazer. BCA: Black trousers, Grey striped shirt, Blue blazer.
Students must wear their Identity Cards at all times within the college campus. It is mandatory.
