Three years Degree Course in Arts (B.A.) and Science (B.Sc.)(Choice Based Credit System: CBCS, Six Semesters, under Dibrugarh University)

Note:

1. For major in Botany or Zoology, a student must have Chemistry as core subject.
2. For major in Chemistry, a student must have Physics and Mathematics as core subjects.
3. For major in Economics (Science stream), a student must have Statistics and Mathematics as core subjects.
4. For major in Geography (Science stream), a student must have Botany and Zoology as core subjects. No student can opt for major in Botany or Zoology from this combination.
5. For major in Economics, a student must have passed in Mathematics in H.S, with an average of 50% marks in Mathematics in HSLC and H.S.
6. No change of combination or subjects (both in Arts and Science stream) will be allowed after admission.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)

The DHSK College offer BCA programme under Dibrugarh University which is completely self-financing. 

• Number of seats: 40

BCA is a professional course to impart theoretical as well as technical knowledge of computer science. BCA course was introduced in the college in the year 2010 under Dibrugarh University. The course structure and syllabus is designed by Dibrugarh University. The course is run according to the rules and regulations of the University under CBCS mode. In DHSK College it is conducted as a self financing course. The fee is fixed by the College authority from time to time to run the course. At present the College is admitting 40 numbers of students in an academic session. The department is housed in a newly constructed building with all modern facilities. Staff room and class rooms are well equipped with projectors and AC. At present the computer laboratory has 20 number of computers with high configurations such as i5 etc. The department organises guest lectures and hands on training programmes every year. After graduation a student may be absorbed in the IT sector or may be self employed. 

A candidate who passes the 10+2 examination or any equivalent qualifying examination as recognised by the government with pass marks in Mathematics can apply for the course.

• The programme duration shall be of Six Semesters, with each semester consisting of five courses.

P.G. PROGRAMME IN ENGLISH LITERATURE

The DHSK College offer a Post Graduate programme in English Literature which is completely self-financing. 

• Number of seats: 20
• The Programme follows the MA syllabus prescribed by the Dibrugarh University under CBCS mode.
• The Programme duration shall be of four Semesters, with each semester consisting of four courses.
• Each course is of 100 marks. Out of that 40 marks is allocated for Internal Assessment and the remaining 60 marks is allocated for end Semester Examination.
• A Candidate passing the TDC examination with a minimum of 60% marks can apply for admission into the course.

P.G. PROGRAMME IN MATHEMATICS and ANTHROPOLOGY

The DHSK College offer a Post Graduate programme in English Literature which is completely self-financing. These programmes are introduced from the academic session 2020-21. These courses are certificated by Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Guwahati, a state university, Govt. of Assam. 

• Number of seats in Mathematics: 30   
• Number of seats in Anthropology: 20
• The Programme follows the MA syllabus prescribed by the ASTU under CBCS mode.
• The Programme duration shall be of four Semesters, with each semester consisting of four courses.
• Each course is of 100 marks. Out of that 40 marks is allocated for Internal Assessment and the remaining 60 marks is allocated for end Semester Examination.
• A Candidate passing the TDC examination with a minimum of 60% marks in relevant subject can apply for admission into the courses.
